The tourist event center was everything we predicted. A bad idea’s desperate gasp. The same dealbreakers remain: The Preserve, The Preserve Fund, The Money.
We got a gaggle of new followers this week.
We got THOUSANDS in donations. Another $25k anonymous match. We are almost $100k on our way to suing the City, as soon as it acts to move forward.
We picked up huge endorsements that we’ll share very soon. We networked, we shared our story and why a vote makes sense. Their utterly unoriginal plan contained every flaw we expected. Get past the smoke and the mirror, and its a stone dragging down the Tourism Fund and the Preserve Fund. Campana has nothing but visuals, which is why she consistently hides from discussing finances and legalities. Ask her about her reckless financial projections, you’ll walk away saying “No DDC.” We are winning.
Christie Lee stepped out to make a call at just the magical moment to capture this.
The 2nd best part of our week: a gift from some awesome new friends working to protect our Preserve. Thank you!!!!
Best Part of NoDDC’s BEST WEEK EVER: A respected business leader complimented us on how we “disrupted without being disruptive“. NoDDC struggled in our beginning to find our voice, but since the 2016 election we committed to elevating our tone. Its not always easy, but I try to lead by example in-person and in my posts, and I’m so proud our upturn is getting noticed. Our strategy of being aggressive and polite is WINNING. Don’t back down, and be polite and friendly while not doing it!!!
Our next BIG event is September 9 at the Children’s Learning and Pay Festivalat Westworld. We will collect 100s of signatures, and walk the DDCS space to politely share our opinions with our community. See our Facebook event.
