Here’s my 8yo daughter and my 80yo father-in-law enjoying the Bajada trail together. Its handicapped accessible at the Gateway Trailhead, educational and with a $90 million view over the Valley.
The signs were recently redone, and the trail shines in any weather. As you walk at your pace on ADA accessible-trails, your group might run ahead or roll ahead or wag behind. Everyone enjoys this trail together. The screaming and exuberance we parents force on everyone in a walled environment mixes with the birds, the wind. If you listen you can hear insects and reptiles and moisturizing leaves peeling off trees. There is space and loops and the sun while you read or run as much as you like.
Does DDCS, Inc idea look better?
Simply by being outside in the desert you learn more than any museum exhibit. Children don’t need more time in confined spaces with screens, when there is beautiful free open space nearby.
